Lecture by Max Jorge Hinderer Cruz
AdBK München / room E.01_23
(Lecture in German)

A cooperation of the Lothringer13_Florida with the seminar "Ästhetiken der Revolte" by Maria Muhle and the seminar "Tropicália - Perspektivwechsel 1968" by Frauke Zabel at the AdBK München.

'68 was a global phenomenon, but '68 also means different things in different places, involves different people and activates different contexts. With regard to the Brazilian context, two things are dominated by the Western discourse on '68 and the subsequent developments. On the one hand the concept of the "Molecular Revolution" (Suely Rolnik / Félix Guattari), and on the other hand the artistic movement called "Tropicália "(Hélio Oiticica / Caetano Veloso) became famous. The lecture attempts to compare the relationship between "Mythos '68" and "Brazilian Myth" with the "Molecular Revolution" and one of the protagonists and eponym of the "Tropicália" movement, Hélio Oiticica, and its reception history.
