 "Michaela Melián talks about her work SPEICHER. The basis for the composition of this video-sound installation are sounds, tones and noises from the Siemens Studio for Electronic Music, which was founded in Munich in 1959 and was successfully used by a range of international composers and music producers for its new, purely electronically generated sounds. Today, only remnants of the short-lived Siemens Studio remain on display in the musical instrument collection of the Deutsches Museum. Michaela Melián is a member of the band F.S.K.; her music productions include Baden-Baden (2004), Los Angeles (2007), and Monaco (2013), all released by Monika Enterprise, Berlin, as well as Electric Ladyland (2016), released by Lenbachhaus München and Music from a Frontier Town (2018), Hossbach Schallplatten, Berlin. In addition, Melián presented her works in numerous exhibitions and produced a series of acclaimed installations in public spaces."
