# Mandana Behdad

 

 This exhibition presents a speculative ecosystem inspired by mythology, technology, the human body, and natural habitats, influenced by the Persian Gulf and southern Iran. It imagines a world between Earth and another realm, where the five elements — water, earth, air, fire, and cosmic matter — exist within a different biological logic.

  

 The ancient Iranian goddess Arədvī Sūrā Anāhitā is reimagined as a force of both earthly and cosmic waters, shown through a female sculpture and active water fountains. Alongside her, Nebula appears as a speculative cosmic entity, represented by a digital carpet showing the artist’s face as a nebula, connecting human identity with cosmic matter.

  

 The installation is interactive and based on symbiosis. Ceramic coral sculptures host living plants, touch-sensitive elements create sound, and glass sculptures inspired by jellyfish and imaginary organisms suggest new forms of life between terrestrial and cosmic ecosystems.
