"The photographs presented in this exhibition have been taken by artists Anastasiia Batishcheva and Tobias Friedauer from diverse times and places. By putting their respective perceptions in dialogue, the artists open up an imaginative space where visual fragments converge and meaning shifts toward new, associative constellations. The works explore subtle affinities that touch on themes of displacement, metamorphosis, and memory.
Anastasiia Batishcheva works with archival materials, found imagery, and her own artistic research to examine cultural policy and its monumental expressions in architecture and the visual arts.
Tobias Friedauer's practice centers on a sustained exploration of time, gesture, and perception. Through lens-based media, he investigates how movement, space, and the visual field can be choreographed to question perception and definition."
