 JAY CHUNG (born 1976 in Madison, WI, USA) and Q TAKEKI MAEDA (born 1977 in Nagoya, Japan) having exhibited their work in 15 solo and 41 group shows, as well as 1 biennial (Artfacts.net), “Chung and Maeda’s works show them twisting and tangling conventions, using strategies of estrangement, and paying attention to non-central matters, all of which serves to load their work with a playful and elusive richness of meaning that doesn’t hide a critical stance or contradictions.”
