# Guest studies

**Guest Student Program**

 Under certain conditions (see below), the Academy may grant guest student status for a maximum of two semesters. The decision on admission as a guest student is made by the relevant class professor (m/f/d) on the basis of a submitted portfolio.

 Taking exams and crediting achievements during a guest study program are not allowed (Art. 50 No. 4 BayHSchG). Guest students must, in principle, possess the same qualifications as regular students (in accordance with Art. 50 BayHSchG in the version in force).

 To apply for a guest study program under § 12, the following must be provided:

 
- your portfolio must be submitted to the class professor (m/f/d) and
- the class professor (m/f/d) must approve your admission on the application form (see below).

 The fee for full-time guest study is currently €300 per semester plus the semester fee for the Studierendenwerk (currently €97/ semester). This includes: participation in class meetings, attendance at seminars/workshops and practical sessions (participation only, no credits, no exams).

 Guest students are enrolled at the Akademy of Fine Arts (AdBK) and receive a student ID card (including access to the canteen and the discounted MVV semester ticket).

 Procedure: Please complete the form below, have it signed by your guest professor (m/f/d) and send it to the Secretariat ([sekretariat@adbk.mhn.de](mailto:sekretariat@adbk.mhn.de)). You will then receive further information from there.

 **Please note:** Between May and July each year, applications for guest study programs cannot be processed by the Secretariat due to the high workload.
