For more than 40 years, the AKADEMIEVEREIN MÜNCHEN e.V. has been promoting young art at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich.
The AKADEMIEVEREIN was founded by friends who felt connected to the Academy, its students and staff. It has grown over the years. The projects have changed. And yet all members and sponsors share a common desire to support students and their artistic projects.
Since 2006, the AKADEMIEVEREIN MÜNCHEN e.V. has been awarding studio scholarships, and since 2008 it has been presenting prizes at the diploma and annual exhibitions. In addition, the AKADEMIEVEREIN has been holding an annual auction at the Academy since 1990, featuring works by students. There are also various events every month, such as studio or workshop visits, guided tours of the annual and diploma exhibitions, talks and screenings.
