"Laura Gozlan is a visual artist based in Paris. She studied scenography at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and at ENSAD in Paris, before graduating from Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains, where she studied under filmmaker Chantal Akerman. Working across film, installation, and sculpture, her practice investigates the shifting boundaries of desire and technology. She explores the social constructions of the body and identity through aesthetics associated with prosthetics and senescence. Her recent works unfold in environments where disjointed temporalities, liminal figures, and altered states of perception converge – reflecting on current forms of embodiment and subjectivation. In this talk, she will examine the cultural frameworks that inform her work, the references that shape it, and the formal and narrative trajectories it generates."
