Aeroplastic
While navigating through clouds, crossing seas and continents, the airplane connects different locations, time zones, and worlds. For humans, this experience translates into a feeling of parallel existence in an intermediate sphere of nowhere and everywhere. This duality raises substantial questions about identity, belonging and the individual perception of different realities. The aspect of time and space accumulates in the materials being used: high-tech aviation elements, which have served for multiple years in the most diverse places on earth, are set side by side with delicate Art Nouveau-style components made of glass and metal, crafts past through long history.
