Random Access Memory
Random Access Memory recalls the work that is being performed, consumed and disempowered by human users through digital and computer-driven processes.
Similar to short-term memory in the brain, a computer‘s RAM (random access memory) temporarily stores information from running software for quick access.
Processing and recollecting information in relation to different variables is a mode of accessing connections between the artworks. Within the show’s spatial and thematic context, visitors are encouraged to construct and keep connections in mind and in view between the objects and the space. The relational meaning of the continued exploration of structural power such as money, media and porn becomes stored and accessed somewhere in the tension of information’s ephemerality and the materiality of its mediated form.
