Gabriela Mureb is professor at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

Through the construction of machines or appropriation of industrial parts, Gabriela Mureb’s work is a mediation on the relationship between the world, bodies and technology.
Situated between sculpture, installation, performance and sound, her works create a sensorial immediacy through vibration, sound, heat and smell. With work that evokes a techno-industrial imaginary, the artist proposes we listen to machines as a way of listening to the social and political structures that built them.
